“He became quite distressed when he realized the service firearm was not where he had left it, defence lawyer Bill Carroll said. was very concerned about that. then grabbed her by the hair, pulled her upstairs into the bedroom and shoved her into the closet. She yelled and anadult son who was in the home intervened, ending the altercation.

The criminal charge of improperly storing his firearm was withdrawn.

Ferris was given a conditional discharge, meaning if he follows his court orders for a period of 12 months probation, the finding of guilt will be removed from his criminal record three years after his probationary period ends.

Carroll told Ontario Court Justice Jean Legault that Ferris will face internal police consequences under the Police Services Act, provincial legislation that governs forces in Ontario.

Ferris has yet to enter his internal disciplinary hearing pleas for Wholesale Sunglasses one count of discreditable conduct for the assault and one count of insubordination for allegedly improperly storing the firearm, which has not been withdrawn.
